Engineering students also lived in East Quad because of its proximity to the College of Engineering. East Quad also housed InteFlex, an accelerated medical school program, and currently houses Women in Science and Engineering, WISE.

Residential College students are known for their creative writing ability and many win the prestigious Hopwood Awards each year.
